Choice

Joi “Choice” Pinkston, born in June 1992 in Dallas Texas, is the youngest of 5, raised in church and is an active member of Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church (PHMBC) in Pleasant Grove (an area within the Dallas, Texas metro area) where she’s served for 15 years as a member and is a part of the Creative Arts Ministry. She enjoys praise dancing, writing plays, and of course writing music. To top it off, since 2021, she’s been a Sunday School Teacher at PHMBC. Choice began writing music at an early age but began to write solely for God in 2020. After hitting the Dallas, Ft. Worth CHH scene, her raw and gritty style, yet word-saturated lyrics fascinated listeners as they awaited her debut single. Her debut track titled “Covered” dropped May 2022 which reflects the realness and entirety of the coverage she has in Christ and to be all and to do all that God has created her to do. In 2021, she created a bible study Facebook Live series called ‘Lunch Time’ focusing on sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ and the profession of His love for all people. Choice is the CEO of 3G Essentials, an herbal ministry for health purposed to use God’s natural creation to restore the body. She is also CEO of the upcoming Faith Based Preschool ‘House of Joi’ looking to serve the community and reconnect the youth and their families to God and provide a safe place to explore God’s word and develop everyday skills and knowledge. Following the success of the release of “Covered”, Choice released a string of fan favorites including “Not Today”, “Walk It Out”, and “Faith”, all in 2022. Choice is currently working on her debut album soon to be released.
